AI is a prominent upcoming trend in recruitment. But what about talent attraction?
From basic to in-depth tasks, AI is capable of reducing the workload for HR professionals. It is capable of analysing resumes for certain data in order to rank candidates against job requirements, giving recruiters time to discover top matches first. But what’s interesting to consider is how it can work in tandem with your attraction endeavours.
If you are interested in attracting diverse talent to build a more inclusive company culture and increase the creativity and productivity of your business, AI has the capacity to remove biases in your recruitment advertisements.
To eliminate bias in job postings, AI can [analyse] job descriptions for words that skew for or against protected classes. On the flip side, AI can block data suggestive of gender, ethnicity and more on resumes.
Recruiters are presented with skills and experience from which to choose interviewees, potentially removing even unconscious bias from the selection process.
While it’s an interesting technological advancement to consider, AI may only be useful or cost-effective if it is deployed to solve a specific identified problem. If you input biased information, it will deliver biased results.
